Purpose

Mainly used in the electronic component installation industry to protect electronic components from pollution and damage during transportation, and to facilitate the subsequent installation of electronic components on integrated circuit boards (PCB boards).

Cooperating products: used in conjunction with carrier tape to jointly complete the carrying and packaging of electronic components.

Classification and characteristics

Thermal cover tape (HAA): Sealing requires the sealing machine to apply a certain temperature and pressure through the sealing presser foot to melt the hot melt adhesive and press it on the sealing surface of the carrier tape to achieve sealing.It is not sticky at room temperature and becomes sticky after heating.

Pressure-sensitive cover tape (PSA): The sealing machine applies continuous pressure through the pressure roller to make the pressure-sensitive adhesive attached to the carrier tape.Both sides are sticky at room temperature and can be used without heating.

The new type of universal cover tape (UCT): By cutting out two deep grooves on the base film of the cover tape, it tears along the groove when peeling off. The stability of the peeling force is affected by the depth of the grooving and the mechanical strength of the film, which solves the problem of the traditional cover tape due to the different adhesion of the adhesive to the carrier tape of different surface materials and the pollution of the residual adhesive after peeling.
